Blue skies and a coconut shy help raise £1k at Oceanfest
Wave Project staff and volunteers enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the GoldCoast Oceanfest in Croyde on 21–23 June, raising money and spreading awareness in the sunshine.
It was the second time we’d had a stall at the event, and this year we were even bigger and better – and way more professional! – thanks to an amazing group of volunteers who gave up their time to help out.
From our ever-dependable coconut shy, to a raffle to win a beautiful framed picture of Croyde (donated by the Frame Shop in Braunton), the money rolled in – we ended up raising over £1,000.
We also signed up a load of new volunteers, new referrers and new surfers.
Thanks to everyone involved!
