As a charity supporting young people, we have seen the impact of the pandemic on children’s mental health. So we will be continuing to work with partners to provide a therapeutic service, following our stringent Covid operating procedures available below.
The latest guidance from the UK government says, “Support groups that have to be delivered in person can continue with up to 15 participants where formally organised to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other for of support – but they must take place at a premises other than a private home.”
Our founder and CEO, Joe Taylor, said:
“We have a moral responsibility to continue supporting young people through this lockdown. I am hugely grateful to our trusted surf schools, surf mentors, volunteers and of course our staff – who have stepped up to the plate. Together we can make a difference to young people who need support at this time.”
Thank you for your patience and support,
We look forward to seeing you on the beach,
The Wave Project Team
