Here at The Wave Project our aim is simple: to help children through surf therapy. The progress and joy we see in the children we surf with is why we love what we do. But it couldn’t be done without the help of our amazing volunteers and fundraisers!
The money raised by our fundraisers goes a long way towards supporting our work. Whether you’re doing a bake sale, hosting a quiz or trekking the Himalayan mountains, every penny helps and we are forever grateful. Your donations help us to provide transport to and from sessions, purchase specialist equipment, and use good quality boards and wetsuits at our sessions.

Meet Elsa White
Our Fundraiser of the Year 2019!
Elsa used to be unable to attend school due to anxiety so severe, she couldn’t cross the school gates.
Being a former Surf Therapy student herself Elsa decided to push her limits by swimming an incredible 100 lengths of her local swimming pool every week for a month to raise money for other children.
Elsa set out with an initial target of £200 which she stormed through raising over £600 in total
Thank you Elsa
Meet Pegleg and John
Our Fundraisers of the Year 2018 were Pegleg and John, who cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End on a pink quadricycle!
The best friends set off in September to conquer the 1,000 mile cycle, doing around 40-50 miles a day.
The feat was an incredible challenge as they battled rain, wind and cold peddling along with three legs and 4 wheels.
Between them they raised over £1,000 wearing multiple costumes along the way!
Thank you Pegleg and John!
