  • Jewellery collection designed for the ‘surf soul’ with silver-plated charms and coloured, waterproof wax cord
  • 10% of profits will be donated directly to The Wave Project
  • The first 50 customers will also receive an exclusive A3 print as a thank you for supporting the charity

Monday 19th July: A new jewellery collection inspired by the ‘surf soul’ launches today from ethical jewellery and accessories brand Pineapple Island and the UK’s leading surf therapy charity, The Wave Project.

This latest collaboration, modelled by surfer, world adventurer, and The Wave Project ambassador Sophie Everard, features unique silver-plated charms and coloured, waterproof wax cord–perfect for surf lovers and those with a ‘surf soul’.

Designed by Pineapple Island’s Creative Director Alice Parmenter and Managing Director Nathan Jones, the pieces have been created in Bali and aim to provide a little reminder to ‘go with the flow of life’.

The first 50 customers who purchase a Wave Project product will also receive a free A3 print of Pineapple Island’s ‘Surf Soul Manifesto’, exclusively designed to launch the new collection by Bristol-based printmaker and illustrator Sonja Burniston.

The manifesto champions the community of people who live their lives like surfers but whose feet may never have touched a surfboard, and acknowledges you don’t have to be a surfer to have a ‘surf soul’.

A unique friendship bracelet has also been created exclusively for The Wave Project to gift to young people and charity members.

Alice Parmenter, creative director at Pineapple Island, said: “We have been working with The Wave Project for a few years now, and continue to be inspired by the work that they do. For a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts, we have made the collection bigger and better this year to raise as much money and awareness for them as we can.”

Joe Taylor, founder and CEO of the Wave Project, said: “We’re excited to launch this new collection of beautiful designs inspired by surfing with Pineapple Island. The brand shares our ethos of driving positive social change, and their support enables us to support more young people to improve their emotional and physical wellbeing through our evidence-based surf therapy programme.”
