Micro Plastics Beach Clean Up
Our primary beach school pupils were shocked at the amount of micro plastic litter on Fistral beach this week after a night of northerly onshore wind. Inspired to act, these amazing year 5 pupils put their science knowledge and skills to good use by removing, sorting and investigating the micro plastics.
Later on, after their surfing session, they spent time discussing the decisions and actions they should take to help reduce their own impact. Next week our challenge is to have zero single use plastic packed lunches. I think it’s safe to say that this new crew of surfers are now very motivated and passionate to make a difference in the world.
