This summer, a group of 18 solicitors from MSA swapped the courtroom for the coastline, joining us at The Wave Project for a team building day with a difference. 

The group travelled from across the UK to our project hub in Croyde, where they were welcomed by our incredible team and volunteers. As part of the day, they learned about the charity and our pioneering Adaptive Surfing programmes before taking on the surf themselves. For two hours the group had the opportunity to experience what Surf Therapy really feels like, giving the team space to connect with each other and discover the impact that community and the ocean can have when brought together. 

Maggie Sargent, Owner of MSA, comments: “It was an incredible day! Such a great atmosphere and lots of banter between clients, solicitors, and The Wave Project.” 

Another attendee commented: “Thank you so much for the invitation to Croyde to get a taster of the work carried out by The Wave Project. Learning about their amazing work was quite humbling, and their instructors and volunteers were all so inspiring.” 

Viv Williamson, Head of Fundraising at The Wave Project, attended the session and adds: “It was great to get in the water alongside the MSA team and I’d like to thank them for funding this day in support of The Wave Project.  

“None of it would be possible without our incredible volunteers, who are the heartbeat of the charity, and their passion and commitment are what make days like these even more magical.”
