Newquay Surf Therapy Shop Closure – Pre-Loved Wetsuit Scheme

Did you know that nearly 50% of the UK’s 380 tonnes of non-recyclable neoprene is generated right here in Cornwall?

It’s time to take action!

We have partnered with Cornwall Council and SUEZ to bring dedicated wetsuit recycling bins to local household waste centres. Collected wetsuits are sent to this store, where they are sorted, inspected and prepared for re-use.

To support this scheme, our shop will be closed for a refurb from Saturday the 2nd of November 2024 and will reopen in Spring 2025 with a fresh new look!

The Pre-Loved Wetsuit scheme supports The Wave Project’s programmes. We improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people through Surf Therapy and the healing powers of the ocean.

Together, we can create a better future!

The Wetsuit Recycling Scheme has been made possible thanks to £116,640 from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme, £22,500 from SUEZ and £7,500 from The Wave Project.
