Inspiring Learning on the beach and in the surf

Following on from our hugely successful Autumn and Winter term education programmes, we are now ready and excited to welcome our next groups back after the Easter holiday break.

Beach School, which takes place on the beach and in the surf, gets students inspired, motivated and re-engaged with school and their learning continues to deliver improved and long lasting pupil outcomes.

Pupils who have participated in Beach School have responded that they are more focused in school and feel inspired not to give up.  Teacher and school leaders have reported seeing “a dramatic improvement” in pupils who have participated in the programme, and are “delighted with the groups improved learning behaviours, raised engagement and motivation.”

The Wave Project continues to support the young people of Cornwall currently not in school through its recently launched ‘Surf Back to School’ programme. Many of those young people who completed our winter programme are now back in school and engaging well with their learning.

Over the summer term The Wave Project will be working with over 100 young persons from across Cornwall to inspire and re-engage, helping them to achieve and fulfil their potential.
