Sally Munday, Chief Executive at UK Sport, joins The Wave Project’s Board of Trustees

As CEO at UK Sport since 2019, Sally has helped to guide Olympic and Paralympic sport through an unprecedented period, helping sports to successfully navigate through two rescheduled Olympic and Paralympic Games against a backdrop of a global pandemic.

Under Sally’s leadership, in 2021 UK Sport created and launched a new ten-year strategic plan to further harness the power and platform of high-performance sport, creating inspiring sporting moments on the biggest sporting stages whilst connecting with communities on the issues where sport can credibly affect and inspire positive change.

Having previously spent 9 years as a Trustee on the Board at the Youth Sport Trust, Sally is well-placed to take on her new role at The Wave Project.

“I am delighted to have joined The Wave Project Board as a Trustee. I have seen first-hand the incredible work that the charity does and the huge impact it has on young people. There is a talented and dedicated workforce of staff and volunteers, and it feels like an incredibly exciting time to join. I am very much hoping that some of my experience will be able to add value to the fantastic work they do.”

Welcome, Sally. We are delighted you have joined The Wave Project team!
