Sustainability award caps a cracking 2018

2018 really was a great year for the North Devon project. Collectively we raised around £26k through events, knitted hats, kind donations, grants and ridiculously long sponsored paddles! And our team of awesome volunteers gave up hundreds of hours of their time to help more than 100 young people get the most out of their time in the surf, including on our first adaptive surfboard.

And as if that wasn’t enough, North Devon co-ordinators Helen Blackman and Ian Bennett scooped the sustainability award at the Wave Project’s annual ceremony in November.

The award recognises that the money we raised through grants and fundraising activities made us the most sustainable project in 2018.

It just goes to show what amazing things you can achieve with teamwork, cake and a desire to help others.

Thank you for making last year so great! If you would like to join us in 2019 please get in touch.
