Team Wave fundraise for North Cornwall
Team Wave braved The Retallack Rampage, Cornwall’s toughest mud run, and raise £626 in aid of The Wave Project.
Team Wave successfully completed Cornwall’s toughest mud run on Saturday 18th November 2017 and were raising funds for The Wave Project through their Justgiving page. They said:
“We’re all involved in the The Wave Project and love what it stands for. We’ve all seen first hand the difference it can make to young people’s lives, through surf therapy. We’re not looking to do the Retallack Rampage as quickly as we can (!) but we’re definitely looking to get as MUDDY as we can and challenge ourselves to raise funds for this EPIC charity!”
The Retallack Rampage event is hosted twice per year and the 7.5k distance pushes runners to their limits; a challenge for even the hardest of mud runners. The event can be run individually or as part of a team. Team Wave overcame their fears together; testing their strength, stamina and willpower through completing 40+ obstacles.
Svenya, North Cornwall Project Coordinator at The Wave Project, says:
“I 100% could not have done it without these awesome ladies and although we are all feeling battered and bruised this morning, this video has put a great big smile on our faces… we’ve surpassed our target in more ways than one…GIRLPOWER!”
A massive MAHALO and congratulations to Broni, Esme, Mairi and Svenya!
