The transformative power of partnership: Global brands putting The Wave Project on course for £200,000 fundraising milestone
Growing corporate partnerships are helping us bring transformative Surf Therapy to more children and young people across the UK, as our charity moves towards its £200,000 corporate fundraising ambition for the year.
Partnerships with Airbus, OluKai, Dryrobe®, Beach Retreats and Moose Toys are expected to fund Surf Therapy for around 235 children and young people, helping more families access evidence-based early mental health support.
At a time when one in five children in the UK has a diagnosable mental health condition, The Wave Project is working to meet growing demand through its pioneering Surf Therapy programme, which combines time in blue spaces, physical activity and trusted relationships to help young people build confidence, resilience and a lasting sense of belonging. The charity now supports more than 2,600 young people every year across 15 project hubs throughout the UK.
Built on shared values and a commitment to creating lasting impact, The Wave Project is proud to welcome Airbus, OluKai as new corporate partners, while celebrating the continued support of Dryrobe®, Beach Retreats and Moose Toys.
Al Eves, Corporate Lead at The Wave Project comments: “We’re incredibly grateful to every organisation that has chosen to partner with The Wave Project and support us through fundraising, collaborative campaigns, volunteering, content creation and sponsorship.
“What makes these partnerships so exciting is that they’re built around shared values and a genuine desire to create lasting impact. Together we’re investing in healthier futures for young people and their families across the UK.”
Joanna Herd, Trade Marketing Manager at Moose Toys comments: “Living and working by the sea, we understand the unique connection between the ocean and wellbeing. Supporting The Wave Project allows us to help more children experience the confidence, resilience and joy that the water can inspire while accessing much-needed mental health support. Our team regularly participate in fund raising activities and help with surf sessions so understand first hand the impact the Wave Project is providing and we are proud to be a part of it.”
Lowenna Merritt, Regional Marketing Manager at Beach Retreats adds: “At Beach Retreats, we’re incredibly proud to support The Wave Project and the remarkable difference they make to young people’s lives. Being based by the sea, we understand the unique connection between the ocean and wellbeing. Seeing The Wave Project use the power of surfing and the sea to build confidence, resilience and hope in young people is both inspiring and deeply aligned with our values.”
The charity is inviting more businesses to become part of its mission to transform young lives through Surf Therapy. Whether through programme funding, employee engagement, volunteering or bespoke campaigns, organisations can help create lasting impact in communities across the UK.
