pupils to conserve their local environment
Wave Rangers is the well being toolkit for schools. We use the power of nature, conservation and volunteering to help boost young peoples wellbeing.
The Wave Project is seeking school partners to help more young people. We are sharing over 10 years of our expertise to boost young peoples wellbeing and help improve their mental health outcomes.
Wave Rangers is run by schools in their local environment and community, it can take place in any habitat including urban, woodland or near water. Wave Rangers is for KS2-KS5 pupils. It is designed using evidence based practice and has been independently evaluated by Sport England and proven to make a positive impact on mental health and supports those most in need.
“Young people have reported an improvement across the Office of National Statistics wellbeing outcomes for happiness, life satisfaction, confidence and their ability to achieve their goals and they have reported feeling a greater sense of belonging in their neighbourhood and social trust. These impacts are vital for young people in the current context of increasing prevalence of mental health issues.”
